The 14 Day Feature & Just Talk

Today I completed my romantic comedy feature script. I began it on April 4th, so I penned it in less than a month, over a 24 day stint in fact. Considering I didn't write for a least 10 of those days means I churned it out in about 14 working days. I'm stoked. It's so cool when a script writes itself and all you have to do is sit back, drink coffee and soy chai lattes and enjoy the surroundings. I had expected to finish the first rough draft by summer or so but now I'm able to go into revision mode much earlier than anticipated so I should have a polished product by that time.

Tomorrow I will continue work on another writing project that I began today in fact. It's a different deal - not a script. Just something I want to write. I also have that latest psychological drama that I completed a couple of months ago that I need to polish. At this point in time, I might just shop that one around. There might be another filmmaker searching for a script that can be produced on an ultra-low budget. In fact, I'm sure there is - it's just a matter of hooking up with him/her.

I have a lot going on at the moment - many, many projects, not all film related but all very time consuming. I'm still considering launching a second production company also but currently that's not in the front seat of my 'things to do.'

I remain open to aid other filmmakers in their serious endeavors, not silly, unorganized crap which usually ends up being a waste of everyone's time, not to mention that these projects can water down a filmmaker's portfolio or resume - but serious, well organized, well produced projects. I will travel anywhere for the right production and the right opportunity.

Other than that, I'm hanging out, trying to get a feel for the direction of the wind because I have no anchors where I am now. I feel like I need a damn good, concrete reason to cast my sails one way or the other.

Out.
