Well, I installed the door peep-hole viewer into my $5.00 door and got the door in place. Now I can beat the hell out of it, draw on it, kick it, spit on it, whatever, and I won't be on the hotplate with my better half. Ah---creative freedom.
I purchased some 2x2's to make some canvass frames for the artwork that will be in my next production. Yes, I chose 2x2's which will be a little awkward to work with, as opposed to 1x2's because they were nearly $1.00 cheaper per board. I mean really, what's up with that? You get less tree per board for a dollar more? Geeze, it's a matter of principle. They can keep their warped, knotted, over-priced 1x2's.
I've been in contact with a male lead potential. Yes, I know, I said I would do the role myself but then this guy just happened to send me a head shot and I said to myself, 'Well, okay.' He really looks the part. I mean, really. I have a meeting scheduled in Asheville at 7:00 pm in Monday to get down to the nitty-gritty, meaning that I need to see if we can both be on the same set at the same time without violence. I need to like the people I work with, especially in a small, tight production. I don't, however, care if they like me as long as they act like they do.
Then, sometime toward the end of next week I'm meeting a young woman regarding the two female roles that remain. And, of course, I would like everything to proceed perfectly, you know, click, click, things just fall into place and principle photography starts on schedule the first week in August. I also have head and body shots of another young woman that I'm interested in meeting but I haven't received a return email thus far, though it hasn't been 12 hours yet. Still, I get antsy. I am antsy.
Anyway, today I'll look over my script, make sure it's all that and if it is then I'll give it a rest for a week or so before I go back and check it again to make sure it's still all that and if it is, then I'll work to get copies to everyone who needs one. I don't want anyone getting copies too early. Sometimes I like to spring lines on actors. When lines are memorized, the resulting dialogue just doesn't seem real at times. Natural is the word of the day. Natural.
Today I need to build canvass frames but I can't find my saw. If I find my saw, then I'll make the frames, if I don't, I'll curse myself for being disorganized and unable to find my saw, and I'll spend the day looking for my saw. I'd prefer finding my saw early to keep my stress level to a minimum.
Stress. What's stress?
